About the role
Our modern and vibrant Hobart store is seeking a highly experienced and energetic Spare Parts interpreter to join our team, on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Motorcycles and the Motorcycle & Automotive industries.

You will also required to do over 100 Harley-Davidson online courses (approx. 2 a week) to qualify for instructor lead courses at the Harley-Davidson University in Sydney

Key Duties & Responsibilities
•Inputting & ordering
•Selling
•Managing incoming inventory & inventory control
•Keep ordering system up to date and functioning
•Remain up to date with industry trends and new parts
•Managing old stock
•Store displays

Skills & Requirements
•Minimum of 5 year’s experience as Spare Parts interpreter
•Must have previous experience in Motorcycle dealership
•Working knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles
•Capable of working to targets and KPIs
•Great attitude and natural flair for customer service
•Service driven & understanding the customer relationship is crucial
•Honest, reliable and friendly
•Must be well presented

We have a unique opportunity for a Merchandise Sales and Promotional Coordinator to join us full-time. This is a dynamic role with room for you to grow and develop in with online and in-store training available.

Duties Include:

  • Merchandise sales and ordering

Accounts/Finance Clerk – Prospect

(Fixed Term Contract – 15 Months)

Richardson's Harley-Davidson was established in 1978 and is one of the best (if not the best) Harley-Davidson dealerships in Australia. 

The Role

This is a full function accounts payable role, where batch processing and creditor reconciliation's will be required. Strong attention to detail and focus is a must and the successful candidate will have fast and accurate data entry skills.

  • Accounts payable / receivable
  • Daily collation of creditor invoices, statements and any other relevant creditor documentation
  • Check invoice detail for accuracy
  • Initiate appropriate action to achieve positive outcomes on supplier enquiries
  • Processing of creditor transactions into our dealer management system and MYOB
  • Process creditor payments
  • Invoicing to clients and inter-company invoicing
  • Bank & cash flow
  • Processing of daily bank statement entries
  • Fortnightly Payroll Processing
  • Prepare monthly Bank account reconciliation for 6 companies
  • Liaise with external Accountant
  • Maintain appropriate filing records and processes
  • General bookkeeping and administration duties as required

The ideal candidate will need to possess the following:

  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accounting and the accounting function
  • Ability to priorities workload and work in a friendly fast paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to take on ad hoc, non-accounting duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in DealerVu (not essential), MYOB and MS Office suite

Administration Manager

Richardson's Harley-Davidson was established in 1978 and is one of the best (if not the best) Harley-Davidson dealerships in Australia. 

The Role

The Administration Manager will be working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team to support the business by providing end to end bookkeeping, financial reporting and compliance, efficient and effective administration, oversight of business systems and processes and payroll services.

Working within a small team, you will be seen as the ‘go to’ person to assist senior managers and their team with their information needs to help run each division of the company.

With your eagle eye for detail you will manage the accounts, including AR, AP, payroll and compliance.  You will be the champion of efficiencies within the finance and administration function, including installing new technology platforms where appropriate and management accounting functions.

You will assist with the preparation of company budgets and reporting on budget performance, including all Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) across the company. You will assume ownership of the HR function where you will be working with senior managers to roll out a roadmap of best practice initiatives, systems and processes.

Your specific responsibilities include:

Financial and Accounting

  • Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and the effective operation of the administration office.
  • Managing payroll, superannuation & employee records
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
  • BAS and taxation management
  • Liaising with external accountants
  • Develop and review finance and administration policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring professional accounting reporting standards are in place and are complied with.
  • Managing internal accounting records.

Management & Administration

  • Preparation of Management reports for the Senior Management Team.  
  • Maintaining operational spreadsheets
  • Maintaining equipment & asset registers
  • Management of staff in the Administration Department, monitoring work flow, setting targets and performing annual appraisals.
  • Collaborating with Senior Managers providing proactive support and advice on financial matters.
  • Preparation &  maintaining company budgets

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in finance and administration roles in small to mid-sized businesses (automotive and hospitality experience is desirable)
  • Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications
  • Practical experience and common sense approach
  • A strong working knowledge of various business systems (including automotive dealer management, MYOB and MS Office)
  • Experience in management accounting 
  • An understanding of Payroll & HR principles and contemporary practices
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
